I love that my kids are into forts and that I didn’t teach them about forts explicitly.
I miss being small enough to swing in a hammock made with a sheet hanging between two dining room chairs. That made for a super-peaceful fort scenario and a great childhood memory.
I also think there should be a cut-off age for trick-or-treating, 15 or something. It’s kind of weird seeing adults doing it. Also, when did they stop using “Halloween Apples”, for “Trick-or-Treat”?
I remember air band competitions in high school, they were so much fun. Seeing your friends perform to your favourite songs, cmon, how can it not be fun.
This is probably a symptom of people in this province losing some of their toughness. We complain about the cold a lot more than we used to. I don’t remember school ever being cancelled because of wind chill!
I don’t think jeans and a t-shirt is too bad, but leaving the house in sweat pants and an oversized hoodie just shows you have no pride in you appearance, like you’ve completely given up.
I ALWAYS hold the door open for the person behind me regardless of age, gender, race or circumstance. Since I’ve been working at CityPlace, I’ve noticed that a return “thanks” is rare, especially young mothers.
I gave up my seat the other day for a pregant lady. Before she could sit down, a “chunky monkey” who was in the middle of texting slid into the empty seat. I made her move. People have no manners anymore…
Kangaroo’s – they were great shoes. I searched and you can still find them in select stores. Frankly, all shoes should have pockets. Don’t let ‘em die….
Well done. Thanks. Everybody needed that.
HA! So true. My mom had not only a hockey-playing son, but also a dancing/figure-skating daughter. There were buttons for THOSE too!
